The First Door: It’s the main entrance. Here the line is huge. More than 99% people standing in this line, wait around, hoping to get in.

The Second Door: This is the VIP entrance. This is where the billionaires, celebrities, people with connections, people with power, and people born into it, slip through.

The Third Door: No one tells you is that there is always, always….the third door. It’s the entrance where you have to bang on the door tirelessly till someone opens it, call the watchman a hundred times to let you in just for a moment, crack open all the windows to see which one opens, hustle through the kitchen slyly, sneak through the side door when no one’s watching, hitch in a ride as a peon to have a conversation with the boss. This is the unconventional door. This door is visible only to the relentless for they believe, there’s always a way.. For others, this door does not exist.

Bill Gates sold his first piece of software, Steven Spielberg became the youngest studio director in Hollywood history, Bikaner Bhujiawala became a household name, Bhimsen Joshi became the voice of the nation, Virendra Sehwag became the most feared batsman in the world, they all took…the Third Door.

For me, it has ALWAYS been the third door. Which door has worked for you?

Which door do you believe is your door to a glorious future? Why?

    Dear Naren,

As usual a really thought-provoking piece of writing! The third door of course!

Being left alone with two small kids and not many people to turn to… let’s say no one to turn to, I’ve always counted on divine support and tremendous, unstinting hard work to reach wherever I’m today.

I’m contemplating now! I don’t think there’s any substitute for sheer hard work!

I feel it’s okay to go the conventional way and preserve energy for peace of mind…..but at times when I am not at peace with myself …..door 3 always produces results!
