I truly believe that the greatest gift I can give to my child is to gently help him to develop the ability to delay the urge to satisfy immediate pleasures.
Life School Message
Are you sleeping?
We are still sleeping if we haven’t found the purpose of our now, yet.
How is this for our ego?
I believe, it is time for us to dump our exaggerated egos and become more humble. It is time for us to stop fighting wanting to prove ‘I am right and you are wrong’. I think it is time for us to slow down for a while, fill our hearts with gratitude, fill our eyes with amazement, bow down on our knees and say in wonder, ‘Thank you dearest life for flowing through us.’
Check list for ‘peace’
In a recent seminar, ‘What’s your Excuse?’ when the participants were asked, “If they could chose any one thing they MUST have….at any cost…what would it be?”, the most popular choice was “PEACE”.
Special Privileges for my son
Kodandera Madappa Cariappa is to Indian army what Sachin Tendulkar is to world cricket. He is revered by members of the armed forces, not only in India but, all over the world. Affectionately known as Kipper, he is a figure of resilience and eternal patriotism.
The making of a list
Make a list of things that you want to do, you never seem to find time for it. You have always been postponing it. You have always been promising doing it but it has never been a priority.
The trophies in the cupboard
In her commencement speech at Harward for the batch of 2015, Natalie Portman says, “Own your meaning. Let the meaning of your life not be the trophies in your cupboard…..”
You and me are a team
People can never exist alone. We exist and function in teams. Family is a team. Friends are a team. The work place with colleagues is a team. Each one of us, who knows how to be in a team and get the best out of a team, will not only excel in life but will also be very very happy in life.
What do you count?
Time anyway passes. Can we take credit for time that has passed? What is the point in celebrating August 15th every year if there is no patriotism in the hearts, neither was there significant contribution towards the country? And even if there is patriotism in the heart, should we not be doing things that matter for the country more consistently than doing it once a year just to celebrate the anniversary?
One who is shy…
When you ask questions, you DO NOT display ignorance. You display that you have a ‘THINKING MIND’. All good teachers, all successful people, love to interact with people who ask to learn.
