A rich man looked through his window and saw a poor man picking something from his dustbin … He said, ‘Thank GOD I’m not poor’.
The poor man looked around and saw a naked man misbehaving on the street … He said, ‘Thank GOD I am not mad’.
The mad man looked ahead and saw an ambulance carrying a patient … He said ‘Thank GOD I am not sick’.
A sick person in the hospital saw a trolley taking a dead body to the mortuary … He said, ‘Thank GOD I’m not dead’.
Ahaaa! That dead person could not thank GOD. But then, a dead person cannot thank God, right?
Even if life is tough in these COVID times, there are enough things we can be thankful to GOD for.

Lovely message.
There are always persons and have’s for which we can be grateful.
Like I lost my husband few months back, and its seemed that I lost everything.
But I always made it a point to count my blessings, like
my sons who were looking up to me for all the love, care, support,
my parents & in laws who stood rock solid with me,
siblings who were genuinely concerned for my well being,
friends who made sure that I am fine.
And to add to it all, I have a comfortable house, financially manageable condition.
Thanks to the almighty.
You fall, you rise, you make mistakes, you live, you learn. You’re human, not perfect. You’ve been hurt, but you’re alive.
Think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive to breathe, to think, to enjoy, and to be with people you love. Sometimes there is sadness in our journey, but there is also lots of beauty. We must keep putting one foot in front of the other even when we hurt, for we will never know what is waiting for us just around the bend.
After reading this article, I realized the person observing the beggar, beggar observing the mad man, and mad man observing the sick man, sick man observing the dead man…
Except the dead man, all are aware of their experience which makes them feel grateful for what they are in life… Awareness in present moment is brilliant state of mind…
Thank you for making us aware….
I am reminded of a story either in Panchtantra or Isapneeti , of a king, unhappy due to many hurdles either in his personal life or his kingdom, standing on terrace.
He sees a fakir ( or a sadhu) passing by , who was thanking the God for having given him 2 legs, 2 arms & hands, 2 eyes, 2 ears and peaceful , contented mind. Even though he had to beg for food & clothes for which he had to depend on others mercy , he was not unhappy.
So, it is better to thank for God’s gifts rather than compare youself with someone on the lower rung of ladder of happiness.
We have to find happiness within ourselves and thank the God for it.
Just check for the original story as I have reproduced here from my childhood memory.
I am just thankful that we have people like you to remind us to keep moving. Thank God for keeping us alive. But if at times life crucifies us, why worry, we have a few like you to resurrect us.
