Dear Darling Friends,

Imagine a plane making an emergency landing and breaking into two parts. The cabin begins to fill with smoke and children start crying. Everyone in the plane realizes, “We need to get out of here. FAST!”

What happens next?

Scene 1 – The passengers turn to their neighbors and ask, “Are you ok?” A few old people who need assistance are helped out first. Women and children are next. The strong and the young, follow. The cabin crew is the last to leave.

Scene 2 – Panic breaks out. Pushing and shoving and screaming and fisticuffs rule the atmosphere. The elderly, the kids and the weak are trampled.

Now a question for you. Which scene do you believe will actually play out?

97% in a survey across cities believed, ‘Scene 2 will play out’. There is a persistent belief that human beings by nature are selfish, destructive and quick to panic.

The truth is, every time there has been a plane crash (including the one in Kerala a few months ago), Scene 1 has played out.

Hurricanes, plane crashes, earthquakes, wars and the covid 19 pandemic show, we humans are prosocial in nature. The worst of times, mostly, brings the best out of us.

In the current uncertain times, if you and me do our BEST and keep believing that the best of our times is ahead of us, magic will unfold and miracles will happen. Lets make that magic and miracle happen!

With love, prayers and exceptional wishes,

When I read the scenarios, I too thought that Scene 2 will break out for the same reason cited in the email. So, I was pleasantly surprised and happy to find out that reality was Scene 1.

Thanks for making me not to lose faith in humanity.

    Best regards
