Dearest Darling Friends,

Most people I know, prefer to sleep about seven to eight hours every night. That leaves 16 or 17 waking hours each day. That is about 1,000 minutes. Cool! Now…

Let’s think about those 1,000 minutes as 50 20-minute blocks. That’s what you wake up with every morning.

Throughout the day, you spend one block at a time, until you eventually run out of blocks. It’s time to go to sleep.

Let’s check how we are using those 50 blocks each day.

How many blocks are for making your future better, and how many blocks are there to manage the present?

How many blocks are for work, and how many are there for fun?

How many blocks are to contribute to others, and how many are there to consume from others?

How many blocks are focused on a healthy body, how many on keeping mind open, how many on emotional fitness and how many on your spiritual development?

Which blocks find you happiest and which ones you wish to rush through?

Let me help you. Let me share with you a pdf file of a block grid. Print that on a piece of paper. Let’s label each block.

Think about your life in the context of it’s block VALUE. Watching a TV serial requires three blocks. Is watching that serial worth three blocks to you? Is 20 minutes of meditation a day important enough to dedicate a block to it? Exercising requires 3 blocks. Is it worth it for you? Reading 20 minutes a night allows you to read 15 books a year—is that worth that one block? If your favorite recreation is being on social media, how many blocks it justifies?

A social dinner takes up about 10 blocks. How often do you want to use 10 blocks for that purpose, and on which friends?

Which blocks should be treated as non-negotiable in their labeled purpose and which ones should be flexible?

Which blocks should be left blank, with no assigned purpose at all?

Doing this exercise might change your life if not save your life. Interested? Do let us know how was your experience.

With love, prayers and exceptional wishes,
