Dearest Darling Friends,

Attention is the first essential step on the path to building a relationship or creating a change. Without getting someone’s attention, it is impossible to ‘build’ relationships or to create change.

Advertisements are nothing but tools to get someone’s attention.
Grand announcements are nothing but means to attract attention.
Making of promises is nothing else but a way to fetch someone’s attention.
Sometimes, doing something stupid is just another attempt to garner attention.

Much time, intelligence, effort, and resources are spent on getting attention.

Here is a million dollar question. After getting attention, what?

If making a change is your intention behind getting attention, if creating a solid relationship is your aim behind getting attention, it will be good to know that to inspire people to act or to create change, succeeding in winning attention will not be enough.

There’s always a gap between gaining attention and enabling action. One crucial factor in bridging this gap is TRUST.

If I have enough money or power or stupidity, I can garner attention. But there is nothing in the world that enables me to buy trust. Trust is earned.

Trust takes time. Trust needs validation. Trust needs consistency. Trust needs character. Trust needs capability. Trust commands ethics. Trust demands patience.

Trust is the enabler of revolutions.

In me, my parents need a son they can trust.
In me, my child needs a parent they can trust.
In me, my wife needs a husband she can trust.
In me, my readers need an author they can trust.
In me, my colleagues need an employer they can trust.
In me, the almighty creator needs a creation it can trust.

This world has enough people who are experts in magnetizing attention. What this world needs today is people, who are trustworthy. If you are a gem whom people trust, my standing ovation to you and a heartfelt salute to you too. YOU make this world a wonderful place to live in.

With love, prayers and exceptional wishes,

naren
