Dearest Darling Friends,

The meaning of the title made me smile. I still am. It means...”What initially appears to be a curse, turns out to be a blessing!” Never knew there was a word for that !!!

I laughed aloud at myself as I realized Sihpromaytum (Sip-row-may-tum) has been a regular feature in my life. I know, you may not have got the pronunciation right yet. It’s ok if you go back, read the word a few times, say it out, get it right, forget it within a minute, feel sheepish, go back again, do it a few times and still not get it right !!!

If this is what you are going through, relax. Don’t curse the word. Caught you!!! The word lives its name, isn’t it?

Sihpromaytum (Sip-row-may-tum) has not played a guest appearance in my life, It is the MAIN hero.

Umpteen times, when I thought, I am going through a tough time, I realized, it was for my greater good.

Umpteen times, when I thought, life has been unfair to me, with time, it turned out to be in my favour.

Umpteen times, when I thought, I don’t deserve this, life soon revealed, the seed was buried for the tree to be born.

Nowadays, when life throws these surprises, I stand amused. Enough experiences have taught me, stop standing there and complaining, stop feeling sorry for myself, stop cursing challenges, stop feeling like a victim. See every adverse situation as a Sihpromaytum (Sip-row-may-tum).

Turns out, it has been right every time.

You must have had similar experiences. Would ‘love’ to know about them. That is what makes our life interesting, isn’t it?

With love, prayers and exceptional wishes,

naren
