Dear Darling Friends,

In a room with over 100 people, a question was asked, “What is the most common reason for your anger?”

The answers came in various words. More or less, they meant, “When things do not happen MY WAY, I get angry.”

The follow up question was, “How many people have become better because of your anger?” The room had deafening silence.

Slowly, there were a few murmurs of protest. Statements like these flowed…

  • People listen only when I am angry.
  • Won’t people take me for granted if I am not angry?
  • Fear of anger makes people do things on time.

What to do? I am also a human being. My first response is never anger. However, my patience too has its limits…

Anger is, when we see things from our perspective. When we think from other person’s perspective, understanding dawns. The focus shifts from ‘me’ to ‘let me solve’. Listen astutely to the other person’s story. Search conversations for depth, meaning, and understanding with the other person’s needs in mind. Your listening should have one overarching theme: How can you help the other person?

These will be the benefits.

  • You are more productive.
  • Your anger has reduced greatly.
  • Your relationships have improved.
  • As a person, you are liked more too.
  • You are more peaceful than ever before.

Don’t all of us, want these? I for one, certainly do.

With love, prayers and exceptional wishes,

Imagine, when we wake up, we are given only what we had thanked for.
