Dearest Darling Friends,

Meetings without decisions are like airplanes circling endlessly with no runway in sight.

I attended a meeting last week that lasted almost three hours.

Everybody contributed.
Charts were discussed.
Concerns were raised thoughtfully.
Coffee and Chai were served throughout.

When it ended, someone said,
“Good discussion.”

And yet, while walking back, I realized something uncomfortable.

Nothing had actually landed.

No ownership.
No decision.
No clarity.

Just intelligent circling.

Have you also seen this happen?

Couples discussing the same issue without resolution.
Leadership teams revisiting the same tension every quarter.
People talking endlessly about change while protecting the comfort of indecision.

Why does this happen?

This is because, sometimes, discussion creates the feeling of progress without having to face the discomfort of commitment.

Endless circling can feel safer than landing.

The moment something gets decided, some doors get closed too.

A direction gets chosen.
Responsibility appears.
Results are expected.
Spotlight is on.

But planes are not built to circle forever.
Neither are human beings.

At some point, uncertainty itself becomes exhausting.

In the past few days, I have grown to appreciate people who bring gentle landing into drifting situations. One clean sentence changes the energy of an entire room.

Not aggressively.
Just honestly.
Gently.

Today, notice softly:
Where have you been circling for too long without landing anywhere?

With love, prayers and best wishes,
