I love watching the famous TV serial “House”. Though the plot of every episode is the same, I feel elated every time I watch the serial. Curious to know why?

In every episode, a patient comes in with an ailment no one can accurately diagnose.

Established tests and traditional diagnostic practices don’t give Dr. Gregory House enough information to make it an open and shut case.

He invents new approaches to understand the problem. Often, everyone gives up but he does not.

Somewhere down the line, he gets a faint subtle signal that directs him to the crucial issue. In the meanwhile, he has to sort his way through messy signals and keep searching for the solid lead.

Every episode he succeeds. Every episode I root for him. Every episode, he displays grit and what ‘not giving up’ is all about. Every episode he heals and uplifts.

I guess, as a parent, as a friend, as a boss, as a family, that is what leadership is all about.
