Dearest Darling Friends,

Take in a deeeeeeeep breath. Now hold it for a few seconds.

  • Have you started feeling a little suffocated?
  • What do you want to do now?
  • Release the air, right?

And then take in a hurried gasp of fresh air?

Now, mirror it with life.

The air that was suffocating you was contaminated toxic air.

It was filled with CO2 which is harmful to your body.

The body indicated its discomfort.

You expelled that contaminated, polluted air.

You then, took in fresh air. The fresh air refreshed you.

If you had NOT expelled the contaminated polluted air, you would have surely died.

Isn’t it the same case with life?

Just replace the metaphor of contaminated polluted air with contaminated polluted THOUGHTS and see if it makes sense to you.

Negative thoughts

  • Thoughts that make you feel and believe you are weak
  • Thoughts that reduce your energy levels
  • Thoughts that make you resent people
  • Thoughts that make you run away from challenges
  • Thoughts that make you afraid
  • Thoughts that produce negative emotions like anger and frustration
  • Thoughts that make you want to give up on yourself
  • Thoughts that make you want to hurt someone

…they are all contaminated polluted thoughts.

Every time such thoughts invaded your mind, they make you feel uncomfortable, hai na?

You want to pluck those thoughts out of your head and throw them somewhere far away, isn’t it?

You never did enjoy those thoughts, isn’t it? I never did !!!

Positive thoughts

  • Thoughts that make us believe in ourselves
  • Thoughts that make us look at the brighter side of life
  • Thoughts that bring the best out of us
  •  Thoughts that make us love people and ourselves
  • Thoughts that produce emotions like joy, celebrations and excitement
  • Thoughts that make us want to explore
  • Thoughts that makes us live a meaningful and impactful life
  • Thoughts that propel us to inspire our loved us
  • Thoughts that make us co-operate
  • Thoughts that lift us even when we fail.

Positive thoughts are life giving forces for us.

Ironically, sometimes, we hold on to the negative thoughts
(contaminated, polluted ones) and not the positive ones (refreshing life enhancing ones).

Know what to hold on and what to let go!

Hospitalised with two broken bones, Roshan was joking with friends.

“We have 206 bones. Why to cry over the two broken bones? Why not enjoy the 204 that are NOT broken”?

The fact is 2 bones are broken. The fact is 204 are not broken.

While most would have cried themselves hoarse over the two broken bones, Roshan chose to focus on 204 that were not broken.

Focussing on negative thoughts (2 broken ones) would have made him miserable.

Fortunately he knew what to hold on to, and what to let go!

Let us do the same with our life experiences.

Anything that makes you feel glad, hold on to that.

Anything that makes you feel sad, let go of that.

The facts will remain the same but Life will change !!!

With love, prayers and best wishes,
