I have been coaching CEOs and Founders for 26 + years on ‘Peak Performance’.
Here are 4 major strengths that are common to people who consistently deliver peak performance.
1. Problem solving – The world is changing fast. More the speed of change, greater are possibilities of problems.
  • AI is bringing in change. It’s a problem for many.
  • Trump’s policies are bringing in change. It’s a problem for many.
  • Gen Z doesn’t believe in sticking around for long. Its a huge change. It’s a problem for many.
  • Earlier, one holiday a year was a big thing. Nowadays, one holiday in 3 months is the new norm. Again, a huge change. It’s a problem for many.
  • WFH is a huge change. Its a problem for many who want their team to come to office.
All these changes are happening fast. Each of these changes brings its own problems. And we have no idea how to deal with these problems as these problems have no precedents.
I have seen the best of people getting terrified when faced with problems. They want to ‘wish away’ their problems. A rare few, very rare few, focus on solving the problem.
These who focus on ‘solving problems’, create abundance and nurture opportunities.
A simple framework for problem solving is – I’C3’AC
1.- Identify the problem
2.- Collect information
3.- Consider options
4.- Consider advantages and disadvantages of the options
5.- Analyse unintended consequences
6.- Choose option and take action
Peak Performers know what a gym does to the body, solving problems does to your potential. They love ‘problem solving’.
2. Self management – Distractions will always be there. Anyone who stays focussed will do better than others who give in to distractions.
  • Ego is a distraction.
  • Fear is a distraction.
  • Greed is a distraction.
  • Seeking validation is a distraction.
  • Low self esteem is a distraction.
  • Hurts and regrets are distractions.
  • Urgencies are a big distraction from things that are imp.
Peak Performers master these distractions and master their life.
3. Working with people – Differences among people will always be there. If you are great in working with people (even if you don’t like them), there is no limits to what you can achieve. If not, you will struggle.
Here are some approaches that produce excellent results while working with people.
  • Cooperate without compromising
  • Say no without saying a no
  • Persuade people gracefully
  • See the big picture
  • See the greater good
  • Make people feel like a hero
  • Understand different points of view
  • Always focus on win-win
Peak Performers know that bigger their dream, better must be their ability to get the best out of their team.
4. Use of technology – Wisdom, wealth and opportunities have always existed in civilisation. However, it is technology that is the most outstanding feature of current times.
  • Technology brings in efficiency.
  • Technology bridges distances.
  • Technology empowers everyone.
  • Technology brings in speed.
Be smart and use technology to unleash huge advantages.
All great people in the past had the first three strengths too. You and me also have the fourth at our disposal. 
If you are already using all the four amazingly, you must be living a great life.
